The Eurovision Song Contest is the cultural equivalent of the pancreas – it exists, it’s been around for a long time now, but when asked, most people wouldn’t be able to explain its function or why it is still here. However, I find the annual celebration of Eurotrash and casual jingoism to be quite entertaining. I won’t be attending this year, but I will be following the event with eager anticipation.
This has a bit of a Celtic twang to it, it’s a memorable track that will sit comfortably in the mid table by the end of the show.
English language ballad, with the slightest bit of ‘power’ to, in that it has a guitar solo. One to hold your lighter in the air to, depending on health and safety regulations.
R&B ballad with a catchy chorus. Won’t be a winner, but then I never saw Molitva coming in 2007…
For some reason this reminds me of the Tim Minchin song, “If I Didn’t Have You”,” which may be instrumental in its success/failure
